IES Terrassa participates in the Biky Fetival poster competition of Busan

02/08/2019

The call that we made from Terrassa City of Film to the educational centers to participate in the Biky contest in Busan (Korea) has given good results! IES Terrassa joined the initiative with 3 proposals for illustrations done by students of 1st ESO. The drawings, full of fantasy and creativity, have loved us! For the first time, an educational center in Terrassa has the possibility to participate in an international competition thanks to the designation of our city as a UNESCO City of cinema.
A few weeks ago, we called on the educational community to participate in the 14th edition of the ‘International Poster Contest of the Kid & Youth International Festival’ of Busan. This creative city of UNESCO, “sister” of Terrassa in the field of cinema, invites every other city with this distinction every year to extend the invitation to participate in this contest. The participation consists in the creation of drawings of students between 5 and 12 years that are later selected and sent to the organizers of the competition in Korea. They make a final selection of all the creations received. Once they have the selected illustrations they create, finally, the final poster of the contest with the intervention of a team of local designers (using varied techniques). In addition, the organizers recommend the best drawing of all the cities offering the possibility of traveling to Busan to the creator and a companion as special guests of the Biky Festival to be held next month in July in the Korean city. This year the proposed theme was called ‘I love playing’.
We celebrate and thank the participation of IES Terrassa in the contest and we wish you great luck!
Next, we offer you the three drawings received at the office of Terrassa City of Film, realized by the students Jordina Argemí Vancells, Júlia de la Rosa and Salma el Hjeouej, respectively:
